Any Day Now

March 1, 2009
Excuse the crappy iPhone Photo.

Excuse the crappy iPhone Photo (taken Janurary 6th).

Diep Tran, former owner of Eagle Rock’s organic Vietnamese restaurant, Blue Hen, is almost set to open her latest restaurant, Good Girl Dinette at 110 North Avenue 56 in heart of Highland Park. Like other highly-anticipated restaurants that have opened in our humble neighborhood, I have learned to be patient with months of Opening Soon signage . (Cinnamon, Cafe de Leche, Antigua, and defunct Highland Perk come to mind.) Serious endeavors such as her’s takes months to execute, and in this case its been over a year since she first started to completely renovate the former law office in the historic Highland Hall. But soon they will open. The tables are in place, the stoves are lit, the day is near. Check out her blog for all the grimy, gooey, yummy details.
